the stuff on the catalogs was always overpriced too, I didn't understand money but my family's attitudes b4 buying something made it clear something wasn't right but they bought anyway, soon I stopped asking cause I felt bad. i feel like sometimes kids didnt understand just repeated what the adults at school said to their parents and then their parents tried to support them with sales not knowing it was the school pushing for it. especially for immigrant families since depending on the school it could be a big status thing or could be unimportant for the kid and they wouldn't know anything abt it.

I wish I could’ve had a fun experience with Justice as a store growing up, but I was an overweight kid so I only have memories of trying on those fun printed graphic tees and the largest size was too small :/ made being a justice girl even more exclusive

i played this absolutely dogshit game called "lovely lisa" I think it was the first really bad game I ever played and I played it over several times because there was something about the mindless sparkly girly aesthetic that kind of hit me in that "key jangling" way, plus the badness of it was just kind of fascinating to me

Seeing people say justice was considered rich to me was a bit surprising at first because when I was a little girl my mom wouldn’t let me get very many clothes from justice because she considered it to be low quality. I did own a sparkly sequin dress with pink blue and silver sequins from justice, but that was about it. I did have friends who wore a lot of justice, though.

It’s nowhere near as mainstream as the other games in this list but I have fond memories playing Puzzle and Dragons on my iPod touch

At my school, we figured out that the scooter boards were much more effective if one kid sat on the scooter board while another kid pulled them around the gym at top speed using a lacrosse stick or jump rope. Usually, kid #2 would also let go of the lacrosse stick/jump rope at random intervals, sending kid #1 careening across the gym to inevitably slam into benches, walls, and other kids.

The only thing Claire’s is good for is pusheen merch (if you don’t know what pusheen is, look it up) the items are made by the pusheen company so they are good quality but are sold in Claire’s shops. And I am a teen who likes pusheen and I always feel really self conscious when I have to walk into a Claire’s because everyone else in there is a 6 year old 😭

It brakes my heart what they are doing to children/teens theese days, when it comes down to this i cant i just cant, schools are horrid places not only in the cafeteria but also the education. One thing I've always been wondering about is the PRICES. There is a Claire's store at a mall in the city I live in, in Poland. Our currency is around x4 less than US dollars/euro, and x5 less than pounds. Claire's is the only store with such high prices that I can't imagine buying anything from them .. ever. A necklace in Claire's costs 10 times more than it would in any other store, and it doesn't even have good quality. And that goes for anything they try to sell! A diary worth as much as groceries! A knock-off headband worth as much as a backpack! I've always wondered whether it has something to do with the prices being converted to our currency without taking the difference in wages (our currency is worth less, and we also earn less, going to UK stores was a shock for me as I needed 5 times the money to afford anything at all) and the actual cost of things here into account. How expensive is it for you guys? Is it affordable?
